Bethor's sheltered upbringing.

Bethor hasn't had much contact with the outside world.  He's been living in a small predominately dwarven village for the last few years while he finished his apprenticeship.  Any adventures which showcase the region of Barsaive, the races, cities, politics or other world building adventures are of great interest.  I would love to work towards a patron and deal with some of the secret societies at some point.  Maybe even move through the path of the wheel if things go on long enough.
