| Rumor:
The Coil River is a trading lifeline that was once considered unnavigable in the northern stretches. Since the great Kaer of Throal has opened, however, the river has been seen to be practically placid. A merchant consortium within Throal has asked for brave adepts to walk the length of the Coil to the Adipae confluence - or even as far as Lake Ban - making note of any unusual features along the river's western edge, and mapping the route. Their reward is in raw silver, and they are keen to find a site positive for settlement in the area.

| just saw I was signed up for this lol
what time of day is this, are we going with the original morning plans? (gmt 2pm) or a more traditional time. I personally can start during the week as early as 12:00PM GMT | |

| Huh. I don't know how I managed to peel the time off the mission when I changed the day! Yes, it was as originally intended for your 2pm GMT slot (10pm my time), Emeketos. Do you want to switch characters to your T'skrang? We might want to do something else if so... it took me way too long to put this one together to rejigger it for C1! | |

| Results: Nearly a total success!
Rewards: 815LP, 265sp (Ulfgar decided to carry the Cyclops Tusk to the tune of 50sp; Treat this as a spear made of sexy ivory - Step 4 damage, size 3, weight 3); all characters were given a properly sized monogrammed satchel with the Coil Consortium Logo on it (a circle with a diamond inside flanked by triangles pointing outward at the anticompass points, like an X)
NPCs: Darranis Huari, Dwarf Merchant and leader of the Coil Consortium
Hooks:
* A river spirit resides at the conflux of Adipae and Coil rivers, overseeing the head of the rapids
* A Kaer opened in the hills on the peninsula to the NE of the settlement site
* A large city floats in the center of Lake Ban.
* Deciduous Forests to the lake across the southeast, which hold another kaer, this one still shut
* An ancient road heading north along the Serpent River and out into the unexplored lands around Parlainth, a large city to the far northeast. | |
